In the article, GABA and glutamate in migraine by Giovanni D'Andea et.al., the effects of GABA and glutamate on migraines are discussed. GABA and Glutamate play a role in modulating your pain threshold in the CNS and because of this, scientists have hypothesized that they might be responsible for migraines.
