The 60’s rock and roll was one of the most successful decades of rock and roll. This decade is when surf music and girl groups took the world by storm. In the mid 60’s, the British invasion happened which was when several musicians came to America from Britain. The 60’s rock and roll left a big impact on today’s world and influenced several musicians.

First, 60’s rock and roll was when surf music and girl groups first evolved. Surf bands such as The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, The Trashmen, and The Surfaris started to become more popular. Of them, The Beach Boys was one of the first bands to play surf style music.

Bands such as The Beatles, The Dave Clark Five, The Kink, and The Rolling Stones came to America and were extremely successful. The Beatles had many top hits such as “She Loves You,” “Love Me Do,” “A Hard Day’s Night,” and “Beast of Burden.” Many musicians found fame in America once they failed in Britain. The Beatles, though, was successful before they came to America. The Rolling Stones was also a successful before they came to America. They were once considered the world’s greatest rock and roll band. “Paint It, Black” reached number one on UK and US top charts. The British invasion is one of the most historical known event.

Lastly, 60’s rock and roll left a huge impact on today’s world. 60’s rock and roll influenced several musicians, such as Nirvana, Joe Walsh, Billy Joel, and Bruce Springsteen. If it was not for 60’s rock and roll these musicians wouldn’t have influenced the way they were by these artists. The 60’s made a huge impact on today’s world.
