Chores is the 1800’s
Chores in the 1800’s were a lot different from chores now days. Back then chores were a lot harder.In the 1800’s clothes were made by hand. Most families didn’t have a lot of money to go and buy clothes so they had to make clothes themselves. They made pants, shirts, dresses, and so on. The sewing machine wasn’t made until the later 1800’s. Most people prefer hand sewing than using a sewing machine.
Sweeping was difficult. If they had to sweep up any leftover string or fabric the broom would fall apart. It didn’t sweep very well. Even if they used strong twine it’d still fall apart.
Brooms were made at home they made their brooms out of straw, hay, fine twig, or corn husk.
Brooms mostly were used for sweeping up ashes,
