Anthem Throughout Anthem, Equality 7-2521 finds himself living a life of secret and loneliness. Living in a corrupt society and learning what it’s like to live alone in the uncharted forest with Liberty 5-3000 are all important parts of the story that help Equality 7-2521 change his morals on the world. “It is a sin to think words no others think and to put them down upon a paper no others are to see.(2)” Only being the second sentence in the whole book, Equality 7-2521 already shows the way he feels about the sin that he is committing by writing in a secret journal.
