Intro: In society we are facing many gun related issues such mass shooting. Some of these shootings are being caused by people who have mental or psychological issues. They are all good people, but sometimes they don't know the difference between wrong or right and they might not be able to control their emotions. How do we tell whether or not a person has mental or psychological issues. We should not base it by race, wealth or gender. People with mental or psychological issues should not have guns.

According to “Untangling Gun Violence from Mental Illness”,”There is a compelling reason to adjust policy to better keep some seriously mentally ill people from accessing guns. It’s not because they might hurt others, but because they might hurt themselves”(Beck). If a mentally individuals cannot be trusted to manage their own finances, how can they be trusted with an assault rifle? Different people think and see the world differently. People with mental illness tend to lose control of their emotions. If they have access to guns, they not only put others at risk but also themselves. The government only exist just for one reason, and that reason is to keep mankind and humanity safe and healthy. The government hasn't been completely successful which is still causing issues in our society. This means that the mentally ill people are one of the problem that could end up becoming a major issue and that could lead to drastic change in the way people think about themselves.Taking away the guns from the mentally ill would allow the world to brink one step closer to becoming the world a safe place.
