The decision of using the atomic bomb use the atomic bomb posed several significant moral dilemmas for president Harry S. Truman at that time, there was as many disadvantages to the decision to use the atomic bomb as there were advantages too. During the breach of the Second World War, the United States decided to drop two atomic bombs on to japan. The first one was at a location called Hiroshima, and then few days later another bombing hit Nagasaki. It wiped out instantly more than 70,000 Japanese civilians in Hiroshima and more than 100,000 people perished after few days due to the radiations and burns that they caught on the aftermath. He could end the war with a vicious weapon of mass destruction known to mankind, which was the atomic bomb. American soldiers where fighting the Japanese in a long four-year war even though the Americans occupied a lot of territories for example, The Okinawa and Iwo Jima and more. In addition, they fire bombed most Japanese cities but the Japanese where strong in military capacity, they where large in numbers, two million strong and still fighting. That was one of the reasons why President Truman wanted to end the war. Another reason is that, The U.S told the Japanese to surrender leadership and end war but the Japanese refused that demand which escalated to living with President Truman to execute his decision on releasing the bombs. Even though there was a lot of indication and hints that surrender was possible under some conditions. In addition, There where Japanese peace feelers being presented and spread all over the U.S government.
