Theme Song Essay - Body The Time is Now references John Cena’s success and glory at the top of the ring. One line that can be applied to my life is in the second verse, “[s]ee what happens when the ice age melt” This line has significance because it notes that John Cena is the real star of the show, and how others in the WWE do not have the same impact that he has today. When the bursts of fame the current stars of the show have run out, or “melt,” they’ll be without their money, and their names won’t be remembered. Many other portions of the song allude to a coming of fame and power by John Cena, more strongly emphasized in the memorable chorus, “[y]our time is up, my time is now,” as JC is telling past WWE superstars that they have had their time, however the real victor who has climbed up the ranks is now at the top and has shown the path of success …show more content…
John Cena was not the best when he started wrestling over twenty years ago. In the second verse of The Time is Now, Marc says, “I spent 20 plus years seekin' knowledge of self, so for now Marc Predka's livin' life for wealth.” These lines explain Marc Predka’s, “Tha Trademarc’s,” rise to fame. Marc spent over twenty years growing mentally, or from a young age, perhaps an allusion to when he started schooling at the age of six or seven, for now through his education he can live in the limelight. This growth is a very important part of me because I am still in schooling myself, and “my time” is not now; however, through growing mentally, someday I will be successful and be able to “live life for wealth.” Learning is the perfect example of my theme, as it does not pay off immediately; as one goes through their schooling they become more clever and intelligent. One good test score doesn’t make someone successful, working to the point of constant achievement and graduating from higher-education is what one strives for in
