Thomas Hobbes was born in April 5, 1588. In 1651, he published his book called “Leviathan”. This book talks about the justice and the nature of the government. And the people should agree on a strong central government. Without it, things fall into war and chaos, which destroys civil life.
“The goals we have are the satisfaction of our desires..of which the most fundamental are the desires to stay alive and avoid pain (Thomas Hobbes).” The founding fathers of America has been influence by Thomas Hobbes and affect the government. However, they have reject Hobbes idea for government absolute power. Instead they have created a constitution, limited government, and the Declaration of Independence.
