Tiger Woods was born in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California on December 30, 1975. He was the son of Kultida and Earl Woods, who met at an Army base in Thailand. Kultida was a secretary while Earl was a green beret, they quickly fell in love. They were happily married for 37 years until Earl died in May 2006 due to a heart attack. Earl named Tiger after his combat partner for his courage and bravery. Woods was not born into a wealthy family. Tigers went to Western High School in Anaheim, California, and graduated in 1994 at 18. Since then, he has won the Masters five times, the US Open three times, the Open Championship three times, and the PGA Championship four times. These are the four major tournaments in the PGA.
