The film version of To Kill a Mockingbird is different than the novel because there was changed elements, there were differences in the characterizations of the characters, and secondary characters were used to teach the children themes. Several scenes were different in the movie than in the book. Scout was also described different in the movie than in the book. Also there was a lesson taught by Tom Robinson and by Boo Radley in the book and the movie.

In the book, there are different elements than in the movie. Aunt Alexandra was only in the book and not in the movie so Scout is not criticized for not acting like a lady. Also Mrs. Dubose has little interaction in the movie with the children besides only one time when Scout greeted her wrong.
