Yesterday, July 16th, 1935, Tom Robinson, who was accused by Bob Ewell of raping Mayella Ewell, was been ruled guilty by the jury. The trial took place at the Maycomb County Courthouse with Atticus Finch as the defending Lawyer and Mr. Horace Gilmer as the prosecuting lawyer. The trial was over seen by judge John Taylor. Witnesses included Mr. Heck Tate the Maycomb sheriff, Mr. Bob Ewell the accuser, Miss Mayella Ewell the victim and Mr. Tom Robinson the accused.
The incident took place on November 21st, 1934, on the property of Bob Ewell. In his Testimony for the jury he stated that “..Mayella was raisin’ this holy racket…” and that Bob had seen Tom Robinson raping Mayella Ewell with his own eyes. Bob said he than ran for Mr. Heck Tate,
