There is life in all things. The stars blink like lights in the dark. The rocks and gravel under our feets crunch with message around the world. Trees whisper to a thousand others with help of the wind. Big ,small, numb , alive,fierce or gentle. Places have noticeable and strong personalities. They are touched and modified by our regard or disregard of them,and they are able to move our hearts and change our lives in return. Places create a portal and brings us keys to unlock doors for discovery. With them, we can as a group or individuals expand our alertness to things that surrounds us. Located in southern California is the 2.5km long world famous Venice Beach Boardwalk, primarily known for its rich and diverse atmosphere, beautiful landscapes and beach, as well as the hundreds of street vendors and performers. Even though they are seen in almost every city, Venice is the Mecca for street performers. Venice, originally called “Venice of America,” was founded by tobacco millionaire Abbot Kinney in 1905 as a beach town. In the 50’s, lack of investment and maintenance led to Urban decline affected Venice Beach and the town inland from the beach became known as a run-down area.Artist of every kind found a home in the area and used it for inspiration.
