The Movie War Horse starts out with the main characters, Joey, who is a horse in Ireland during World War One. The opening scene shows how Joey and his mother live happily and are content. Joey is Token from his mother and is sold at an auction in town square. At the auction, an old poor man buys the horse in hopes to save his farm and make a profit. Joey and the old mans son, Albert, and he begins to train Joey and they become instant friends. After is fathers order, Albert teaches Joey to plow the family farm and Joey plows the While field, even thought there is a potato famine during this time. After Joey plows the family farm, he is sold into the British Army to fight during the war.
During the war, Joey is separated from Albert and he is paired to fight with Nicholas. With Nicholas. Joey fights in the front lines and is put in very dangerous situations. Shortly after Nicholas and Joeys pairing, Nicholas dies and is then paired with Warren. With Warren,Joey works pulling carts instead of working in battle and meets a new horse named Topthorn. …show more content…
This old farmer buys the horses for his granddaughter, Emily. With Emily, the two horses learn how to jump and help Emily grow as a person and gives her strength. By the law, the troops are allowed to take whatever they please to “help” them. With this rule, the British troops take the two horses to fight back into combat.
The last part of the movie is where Joey and Topthorn are in combat and Joey is badly injured. The both sides of the war see Joey and both come to help Joey get out of the barbed wire he is stuck in. Joey, is then amen into a veterinarian clinic where he meets Albert and is nurses back into heath. The closing scene shows Albert,Joey, and Albert wife happily living in England while the war is
