Weight Watchers has been assisting people with losing weight since 1960. The companies motto has been that, weight loss comes with not just change in diet but with a change in life style all together. This would include the emotional and physical wellbeing of the client that the company serves. This company used motivational techniques to ensure that the client is able and willing to make the life changes.
Weight Watchers was founded in 1963 by Queens, New York, homemaker Jean Nidetch. She would have monthly gatherings to support local people that wanted to loose weight. Weight Watchers programs were design to help participants lose weight by forming helpful habits, eating smarter, getting more exercise and providing support. The company uses advertisements that depict people standing beside pictures of their former selves. Meaning they are showing what before and after weight watchers treatment has done for them. Weight Watchers and Jenny Crag have some similar techniques in achieving the goal. Currently, both Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig offer the customer pre packaged food to assists with the weight loss plan. Weight Watchers is best if you don't mind making your own food as you can acquire the program that simply advises you on how to choose healthy foods.
