skyler McRae Miss andrews English 1 03 march 6 The loyalty test Have you ever wondered how loyal humans can be? The “Odyssey” is mainly an epic poem which was created by an author named Homerby. This poem is about a loyal hero who is introduced named Odysseus who is away from his wife and son for 20 years. Odyssey's dreams after the war were always about going home just to see his wife. But is held by a goddess who keeps him against his will. Finally was let go by Calypso. Since then the daughter of Zeus ordered her. After getting trapped in a cave with a cyclops and stabbing his eye to get out and hiding under sheep to escape. Facing obstacles causes you to be a stronger person. But in this book Homer shows us that in his story is mostly irony, imagery and similes. …show more content…
Homer explained throughout his story in the Odyssey imagery by saying the son of Poseidon's cyclops rams are handsome, showing their well fed and strong. Homer also explains more imagery on page “765 paragraph 375-380” “they sprinted,lifted it,and rammed it deep into the crater of his eye.” showing an image of how they were running while lifting it and putting it into his eye.Homer explanation throughout his story helps writers explain to readers learn different styles since he has a clear idea. Imagery in his book is loud and clear since you can see the vertex forming and a 6 headed beast next to Odysseus' men killing 6 of them. They were focusing mostly on the vortex getting formed. This gives people a good idea since the reader can see guys looking at a vortex forming and didn't realize there was a 6 head creature next to them. This gives the reader a boost of help to help
