In 1865, President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated at Ford’s Theater by John Wilkes Booth from a fatal gun shot to the head. Lincoln’s decisions at the time were not liked by some people because they considered them radical to the existing way of life. Ultimately, Lincoln was killed because he wanted to free the slaves and also keep the south and north together in a union. The assassination of President Lincoln was unjustified because those decisions were ultimately proven to be the right ones; however some people were offended by Lincoln’s decisions. President Lincoln was against a man owning another man because he believed that all men are created equal. On April 11th. following the surrender of General Robert E. Lee, Lincoln delivered
