When you contribute your time and dedication to a sport don't you think you deserve a trophy? According to the "Trophies for All" policy, youth athletes are being awarded with participation trophies. Youth athletes should be awarded trophies so they won’t feel left out. For those youth athletes who aren't the best in the sport, but have improved, an trophy will help them feel like a part of the team. Youth athletes’ confidence and future success can be boosted by receiving a participation trophy. Some coaches and parents don't think so because they don't want children to be rewarded for not putting enough effort in. Youth athletes should receive participation trophies because there is nothing wrong with awarding them. Youth athletes should get participation awards so they can feel like a part of the team.
