Why I Want To Take AP Psych

I want to take AP Psychology because I have always been interested in why we, as humans, make the decisions we do. I love learning about how our brain works and what things make us different. If I can learn how other people react in certain situations, I can start to notice them in everyday life and make day to day activities more intriguing and insightful. I want to learn how other people behave, but I also want to study Psychology for introspection. In Psychology 1, I found out things about myself that I would have never in any other classes. The class last semester made me a better communicator since we talked all the time, discussed complicated reasons for things, and asked tons of questions to other people. I would love to keep building this skill. I am drawn to experiments and statistics. I always try them with my peers and family. One of the most important reasons why I want to take AP Psych is because you can change people’s lives with the material you learn. I’ve faced many rough events in my life and I've found that the best thing, and only thing you can control, is your attitude. I am a strong believer that positive energy spreads, radiates, and lights up a room. I can bring hard work to this class. I know the course will be filled with tons of very intelligent, dedicated students and leaders, and I think I can be one of those kids.
