The third little pig is an admirable character because he doesn't follow the crowd and take the easy way out, he learns from others mistakes, and above all, he runs circles around the wolf. These are some reasons why the third little pig is an admirable character.
The first reason why the third little pig is an admirable character is because he does not follow the crowd and take the easy way out. When he is given the choice between straw or furze he keeps on trekking to find the best material to build a home that will withstand the wolf. Although the other little pigs chose furze and straw, the third little pig decides he will do it his way and make his house out of strong bricks, even if it isn't the easiest task to do. After witnessing the first two pigs getting their houses blown down by the wolf the third little pig makes a sturdy house. He learns from the other two pigs that the wolf can blow down weak houses, leaving him to build a strong house.This proves that the third little pig learns from others because he applies the knowledge he gains from the experiences that he got from witnessing the mistakes the other two pigs made. Another example of this is when the wolf eats the first two pigs. The third pig finds out that the wolf wants to eat pigs, so he decides that he will do anything he can to avoid being eaten.This shows that the third pig pays attention to others and watches to find flaws that can improve his own life because again he applies the previous information and connects it to his own life. The third little pig also runs circles around the wolf. The wolf expected to waltz right in and gobble up the third little pig, but the third little pig did not allow this to happen. The wolf had to come up with a sly plan by telling the third little pig that there was a miraculous turnip farm. The hungry pig agreed but asked where and when they were going. The wolf replied that the turnips were at Mrs.Smith home field and they would go at 6 o’clock. After the wolf left the pig swiftly realized it was a trap, so at 5 o'clock the next morning the pig ran out to Mrs.Smith home field and gathered some turnips, and then arrived safe and sound in the comforts of his brick home before 6 o’clock. The wolf is astonished that a little pig had outsmarted him. He decides he will try again. After taking a second to let the thought soak in the wolf announced that he knows where a beautiful apple farm is. The wolf agrees to take the pig to the Apple Farm at 5 o'clock the pig figures it's another trick so he decides to leave his house at 4 o'clock. Unfortunately, the wolf catches him in the act. Quickly the pig calls out to the wolf to catch the apple he will throw down to him. The little pig uses all the strength he has to throw the apple as far as he can.
