The story of the “Three Little Pigs” has been around for almost two centuries. Over the years, the story has become very popular, and had been read by an audience of almost all ages. Although there has been many versions of the “Three Little Pigs”, The version of “The story of the Three Little Pigs” by the Library of Congress, changed it up. Similarly to the original story, “The Story of the Three Little Pigs” has the first two little pigs deemed as unsuccessful. In “The Story of the Three Little Pigs”, as a matter of fact, the first two pigs are eaten by the wolf. So, this version goes beyond that point, and focuses on the third pig’s survival. He shows that he possesses many admirable traits that all if not most people would wish to possess as well. The third little pig is very admirable because he is clever, persistent, and ruthless.
First, the third little pig in the Story of the “Three Little Pigs” is most admirable because he is clever. On page 24, the author wrote, “ When the little pig saw what he was about, he hung on the pot full of water, and made up a blazing fire, and, just as the wolf was coming down, took off the cover of the pot, and in fell in the wolf”. On page 20, the author wrote, “So the little pig went off before the time, as usual, and got to the Fair, and bought a butter churn, and was on his way home... “ . This quote supports the fact that the third little pig is admirable because he was able to be persistent even though the Big Bad Wolf was out to get him. He was still able to outsmart the wolf no matter what he had planned. If he wasn’t persistent, however, he could’ve fell in the trap of the Big Bad Wolf. But being persistent allowed him to outsmart the Big Bad Wolf no matter what he threw at him. Hence, the third little pig is admirable because he was persistent in him outsmarting the Big Bad
