Hi Ms. Buckley,
The lack of adequate healthcare for women veterans is the current priority for The American Legion’s Women Veteran Program because the issue in this country is that women veterans aren’t getting gender specified services at the VA. In fact, some women veterans aren’t aware of the benefits that they are entitled to. So at the national level, we work to legislate and change bills/laws that will impact women veterans for the better to help fix these issues.

However, just because healthcare is our main priority does not mean it will be our only focus. That’s why I would like to hear from you all at the department level so that we could address issues identified while emerging gaps and trends that deal with women veterans. I cannot
