On April 6, 1917, The United States entered World War I. The U.S. was reluctant to enter the war because they were not interested in fighting over territory or getting revenge for past wars. Woodrow Wilson, the president during this time, wanted the end of the war to establish a long-lasting peace for the world. Wilson took action and put together an ambitious plan. He called this plan The fourteen points.
Wilson’s intentions for The Fourteen Points was for it to be used for peace negotiations in order to end World War I.
