Did you know that about 16% of France’s people are over 65 years old? By 2040, 33% of France’s population will be over 65. With so many people aging, there are demands about health and social services. Immigrants came to France after World War II. When the immigrants came to France they usually offered lower wages. So that helped a lot of France’s business. Many immigrants worked in auto industries. France is about the same size as Texas, but has twice the people in France. The capital of France is Paris, it has 2.224 million people. That is the same amount of people who live in Chicago. Here are other big cities in France, Marseille has 808,700 people in it.
