1. Word Within a Word 6 was given to the students on November 28. The homework is due on Tuesday of the following week. That would have made it due December 6. Along with this homework I gave the students a sample of how I expected their analogies to be completed. Most of the students had been having trouble understanding these lessons so I gave them an easy example to follow. When Tara turned in her work last week, she had done nothing except circle answers. There was no analogy work attached. That is why she got a zero. The answers are easily found on the internet. I wanted to see that she understood the correlation between the words. Finally last week she turned in all three papers at one time. Please be aware that I have approximately 120 students and when they don’t turn their work in on time, the papers may not get graded with the class set. If I am concerned that I don’t have a student’s assignment, especially one as responsible as Tara, I ask numerous times to verify they have turned in their work. It takes hours to grade their vocabulary analogies and missing assignments may be graded later than the regular class set. I do my best to get work back to the students as soon as
