I am the greatest man you have never known.” This is a quote said by Harrison Bergeron in the movie “2081” explaining himself to the world and to show people what the government does to advanced people. In 2081, everyone is equal by having strong people wear weights to weaken them, smart people wore earpieces to lessen the usage of their brains, and beautiful people wore masks to make them less attractive. Is this fair to the advanced people? Is our world now better? Do you even believe in equality? 2081 and the real world have both people with handicaps and police forces, however, there are also differences between how they use the handicaps on people and what type of police forces they have.

For instance, the police forces in the real world do whatever it takes to protect their people but on the other hand, the H.G. men in 2081 arrest anyone who disobey the handicaps. According to 2081, it showed the H.G. men invading George and Hazel Bergeron’s home to take their son Harrison away for have his handicaps off. Furthermore, another example is that in the real world people with handicaps have a disability or is at a certain age where they need to be shown assistance while in 2081 people with handicaps are more advanced than the others so it lessens their abilities to their full potential. In 2081 it states,” The strong wore weights to make them weaker; the intelligent wore earpieces that kept them from taking unfair advantage of their brain.
