America has changed! There used to be discipline, manner, freedom, and organization in world and the home. Wives used to greet their husbands with a warm smile when he got home from work, have supper ready, and sometimes have the clutter picked up. In my estimation, society, people, education, fashion, and the home have changed. Although there are some changes, something’s are still the same or coming back in “style”. When comparing the 1950’s to the 2010’s, I can’t help but see a dramatic change in the culture and the way of life. The way the home used to be to the way the home is now is kind of frightening to me. When I think of the home structure in the 50’s, I picture a husband a wife. The husband would go off to work every morning while the wife would stay home and care for the kids. The style of clothing is very diverse then and now. In the 1950’s they wore belly shirts, pencil skirts, flats, blazers, khakis, short dresses, petticoats, saddle shows, bobby sox, poodle skirts, penny-loafers, jumpers, black books, motor-cycle jackets, jeans, baggy sweaters, stilettos, and knee-length pants. The things they wore then are most definitely coming back into style. The way they done their hair back then were undoubtedly divergent. The hairstyle was thick hair, with long, thick sideburns, duck tails, and ponytails. They would put gel, creams, hair waxes, and hairspray in their hair as well. You don’t see many men putting gel or hairspray in their hair, let alone combing it. There were so many different styles then now that went with the individual’s personality. Sometimes style was and is based off what celebrity’s wear or what the media portrays. A couple examples would be Elvis Presley and Justin Bieber regarding the
