When we hear the name Ted Bundy most of us think of a psychopathic, delusional man but what did Bundy suffer from, if anything? Ted Bundy suffered from antisocial personality disorder and here’s why. All his life he was surrounded by women, thinking his grandparents were his parents and that his mother was his sister. The only real man Ted had in his life as a young kid was his grandfather who he believed was his father. On January 31, 1974, Lynda went missing from her shared home near the University of Washington where Ted attended school. When police were investigating Lynda’s bedroom they found evidence of blood trace in certain places but were not convinced that Lynda had been a victim of “foul play,” therefore no real evidence was taken nor did they find out who kidnapped Lynda from her bedroom that night. During that spring and summer, more young women students started disappearing. As stated previously, the majority of girls vanishing were quite similar to Ted Bundy’s former girlfriend, Stephanie Brooks. According to the article on Ted Bundy’s “Killing Spree,” “all the girls were white, slender, wearing slacks at the time of disappearance, had hair that was long and parted in the middle and they all disappeared in the evening.” Ted was not only focused on his studies in school but also focused on a type of girl who would be chosen to be his next victim. When police became involved in the situation they interviewed college students who informed them of a suspicious man who was seen wearing a cast on his arm or leg. In a documentary called “The Deliberate Stranger,” Ted was seen trying to capture girls by asking them for assistance with his car, a VW bug that he had “trouble” starting. Other witnesses reported seeing a man with the same description in the same area where other victims were taken from.
