What determines whether a person is inherently good or evil? Modern humans have evolved on the Earth for nearly 200,000 years while our ancestors have been around for about six million years. The idea about whether humans are inherently good or evil has been a repeated question that has sparks many debates. For decades, philosophers have argued that all humans are inherently good but corrupted by society or are inherently evil by nature that is fueled by society. Humans are ultrasocial meaning that we have a large amount of empathy and sensitivity for people in need, but also a concern for the general welfare of others. Our actions towards others can cause both a positive and negative effect on many lives.
