I have always had a natural talent for art ever since I was a kid. I was always drawing or sketching something when I was young. As I grew older I never really knew how I could use my talent for a professional career. When I decided to take a graphic design class my freshman year I really had no idea what I was signing up for. Once I started working on the projects for the class I knew immediately this is what I wanted to do for a job in the future. I completed all of the 4 levels of graphic design class at my school in my freshman and sophomore year. My teacher Mrs. Carolyn Bielski told me I should do the Art AP class at our school. As a student I naturally want to take part in the great opportunities that this school provides. For example being able to learn from the best in places like New York City and Paris is not something many schools offer. Seeing what jobs and opportunities Parsons grads have after school is what makes this school a top choice for me. This coupled with the great reviews of my teachers and peers at my school is what makes me interested in The New School. Taking serious art and design courses over the course of 4 years at my school makes me a good fit for the Communication Design major. Being apart of Art AP at my school it provided me opportunities to compete in art contests in the local north shore Chicago area. Having won in some of these contests with a hundred plus contestants speaks to the quality of my work. The high quality work that your students produce is something I definitely want to be apart of. Art is my passion and is something I take very seriously. Seeing how motivated your students are to make an impact on the world of design and to be a better creator is something I can relate to. I feel like I offer quality work and experience to the
