When I think about leaving and starting new again, a pit starts to form in my stomach. I have only had to move schools once in my life, but I am glad that I moved to a place where I can be myself and anything I want to be. The hard work, practicing technique, and routines are all worth it in the end. when I would perform on the field in front of hundreds of people doing what I love, I know I am home. When I first walked into the band room, I was overwhelmed with the feeling that everything is was going to change. I did not understand how much effort would be required of me to be apart of color guard until band camp, after school practices, and Saturday practices. When the time came around for the first performance, the atmosphere made me petrified beyond belief. Beginning the show was not deficient. Everything made more sense to me now that I know how he wants tasks to be accomplished. I met and made new friends in band and color guard. We all spent so much time together, after all our band camp practices were ten hours a day. By all the summers we spent together, we all have two things in common, detesting miserable full show run throughs and we were devoted to the 9:00 cool pop break. One event that I especially look forward to is the end of the week dodgeball tournament that my coaches host. I also cherish the time of year I can spend time with everyone, and that is band dance. Band dance is usually held at the end year. The only people who could attend are members of the Vanguard and choir. If you were fortunate enough, you could be invited into it as a date. I can still remember the music they play, it was so riveting, anyone there would wind up
