The victory at yorktown was an important part of history. The revolutionary war started in April 19, 1775 and ended in September 3, 1783, or some may call it the battle of Yorktown because that's where most of the battle started and ended. General Washington led his people victorious. People started fighting and shooting in 1781 but then they declared war on 1775. The war started because of people getting mad of the acts people were making.

General Washington attacked the British in two places Yorktown, virginia and New York City,NY. It also took place in United States Of America , the Atlantic Ocean, and East coast of America. When General Washington arrived in Yorktown they waited orders to attack the British. He and the soldiers waited for the second fleet of french ships to help them. The people who will involved in the was was Clinton, washington, and General Lord Charles Cornwallis. What is Traditional Warfare? Traditional WarFare is a form of warfare conducted by using conventional weapons and battlefield tactics between two or more states in open confrontation. The battle of Yorktown lasted 10 days straight, after the british surrendered. Cornwallis was the british leader. The british lost the war/fight after the patriots used a different fighting style. There are many reasons why the british lost. One of the reasons the british lost is because most of the soldiers were getting really sick and dying of sickness, another reason why is because the british soldiers were running low on supplies such as guns, food, people, and other things you would need to survive. The patriots took 8000 prisoners witch indicated that the british were weak and getting
