Belgium is usually unnoticed when it comes to immigration, since it is small in size and the kingdom’s less known background of immigration. However, in the past years Belgium has become a permanent home for many different immigrants and ethnic groups. The major religion in Belgium is Catholicism. Throughout history, the religion in Belgium has made an important impact in electoral campaigns. Religion has proven to have a powerful influence on elective behavior. The religion of the Belgian people is made up of 75% Roman Catholic and the other 25% are Protestant. Most of the religious parties found in Belgium began in the 19th century. However, research has shown that religious involvement and recognition are decreasing quickly in many European kingdoms. Belgium is one of the most developed and heavily populated countries in the universe. The kingdoms social diversity has endured an enhanced through universal and native immigration. The Celtics, Spanish, Romans, Dutch, Romans, Austrians, and Germans all shaped the current Belgium culture. Belgium is surrounded by powerful nations and has managed to avoid control by them. The immigrants that traveled from Southern Europe, North Africa, and Turkey all contributed to the current culture of the Belgian culture. Those who came in following World War II extended the contribution to the kingdom’s religious, cultural, and language combination. Despite the struggle to secularize religious impacts, it continues impacting the electoral performances. Belgium has seen a decline in religious practices over the years.
