The United States government is greatly in debt and it’s going up everyday. Funding for NASA has advantages and setbacks, but advantages is what we’ll be talking about. A lot of money has already been cut from NASA’s budget, from 18.5 billion in 2011 to 17.8 billion in 2012. NASA isn’t the only government program that has been cut short of funding. Eventually, the U.S. government will no longer think that NASA is worth about 0.4% of the federal budget.
The government has cut back on many of NASA’s projects in attempt to boost the economy. The economy is doing poorly and the government feels they should spend their money elsewhere outside of NASA. NASA is an investment to help stabilize the economy. It can benefit the economy directly through
