God provides for the widow physically, socially and emotionally
The Book of Ruth demonstrates how God provides for the widow in different instances in their life.. Ruth represents the widow who is blessed by God. Even though she loses her husband, Ruth is provided for in everything. God meets Ruth’s needs physically, emotionally, and socially. God always has something in store for widows because he cares for them and that is how God is.
The first way that God provides for the widow is in physical needs. God takes care of the widow’s health and well-being. As shown in the Book of Ruth, God provides for Ruth through Boaz. In chapter two of Ruth, it says this, “ …. I have told the men not to touch you. And whenever you are thirsty, go and get a drink from the water jars.” It goes on to say, “At

He does provide for them in their physical and social needs, for which both are important, but he also cares for a widow’s emotions and feelings. In Ruth chapter four, this is demonstrated by this, “ So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. Then he went to her, and the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son.” This verse exhibits that Ruth is given love. This love comes from Boaz, her husband. Even though Boaz loves her, God loves her more. This is displayed in everything that Ruth is blessed in. Love is shown throughout the whole Book of Ruth. In different moments, love is shown towards Ruth by her surrounding companions. God’s love is what was with her the whole time.
The widow is cared for even if it is not known. In all of the chapters of Ruth, God cares for Ruth in her physical needs such as food and water. He cares for her social needs such as companionship with Naomi and Boaz, and in her emotional needs such as love, which was shown to her by Naomi and Boaz, but more importantly, God. He always has, is, and will always provide for the widow, God can do things for the widow that no mere human
