3.3.1 Functional and lateral relationships within the proposed structure

Joy of chocolates formal and lateral relationships are led by a director, manager or team leader. Each person is assigned to a task and has the right skills and experience to do the job.
The Team leader informs the employees what work they have to complete and what the deadline for the task is. They are responsible for the discipline and conducting of the team, they are responsible for the complaints procedure and policies within the organisation.
A group of friends or colleagues are only in the business for their own motives and have views which could be different from the organisations this is called informal. However as a formal organisation the supervisor or team leader gives them a set of tasks to complete and also sets a deadline of when it has to be achieved. The company’s policies and procedures must be followed if someone has a complaint, if this was an informal organisation they would make life difficult for the people in charge. In JOC uses both formal and lateral relationships as it helps them communicate and delegate tasks to everyone to achieve the organisations goals.
