Simply Sweet will be a for profit organisation that aims to provide divine confectionaries for all ages. The target market will be aimed more at young children and people with a sweet tooth. Simply Sweet will provide employment for local with a high interest in confectionaries.
We have decided to start up a confectionary shop in Midvally shopping centre, Morwell, Vic. The name of this shop is “Simply Sweet”. We have chosen this name as we would love to provide people with a simply sweet treat that everyone will love. The products we will be selling with have a wide variety to satisfy everyone. Simply sweet will be heaven for people who love a treat.
Our mission is to satisfy every customer and eventually become a franchise.
We will welcome all customers of any age at Simply Sweet and our staff with greet every customer with respect and kindness for an enjoyable experience at the local lolly store.
Our Target Market will be: * Children * Teenagers * Parents with younger children * Adults

I the form of ownership I will be running the business as a sole trader. I have chosen to be a sole trader as the advantages below are much more promising than the disadvantages.
In time the options of becoming a franchise but at first it isn’t my first option but if Simply Sweet becomes successful than we will look into becoming a franchise.
Simply sweet won’t be willing to have more than 20 employees
The advantages of being a sole trader: * Low costs of entry. * Simplest form * Complete control. * Less costly to operate. * No partner disputes. * Owner’s right to keep all profits. * Less government regulation. * No tax on profits, only on personal income.
And the disadvantages of this: * Personal liability for business debts. * End of business when owner dies. * Difficult to operate if sick. * Need to carry all losses. * Burden of management. * Need to preform wide variety of tasks. * Difficulty in raising finance for expansion.

Location

The location for Simply Sweet will be in the heart of mid valley shopping centre Morwell. I have chosen to have my business in this spot because little kids always want lollies and if you have a confectionary store in the heart of a shopping centre the target market will always see it therefore you will have them begging the mothers/fathers to buy them confectionaries. Surveys show that many teenagers and elderly people send their time around
