I plan to combine my motivation to never stop learning, with my love for this selected career, and dedicate myself to working as hard as I can to be successful as as systems engineer. It is my goal to gain as much knowledge, whether it be technical or non-technical, throughout my career as possible, and overall be a well-rounded engineer. It has always fascinated me to see things come together as a final product, and I was also one of those kids who adamantly took things apart just to assemble them back together. I am devoted to becoming what I have always wanted to become, and I am devoted to following my dreams even though it is going to take a lot of hard work and dedication. I am in the knowledge stage of this project and I am edging towards the application stage. These classes that I will be taking are part of what I consider to be the knowledge stage, and how I will use this knowledge in the future will be what turns into the application stage. I am going to continually work in teams and practice leadership, and basic hardworking qualities. Being able to work effectively in teams and show leadership will carry me a long, long way in my professional career, and I am willing to do what it takes to reach that level of success and accomplishment. This passion is continually growing inside of me the more and more I learn about engineering and business related topics. Being an engineer will give me the opportunity to place my passion into action and to positively effect the lives of others and the world, just like I have dreamed of doing. Most engineers think and aspire and dream similar things, and if we can all work together as a team to improve our quality of life, we will be there is no end to what we will be able to accomplish for the world. The whole life concept model opened my eyes to what my passion really is and what I can do with my passion to become who and what I desire to be. Not only has this model opened my eyes to what my passion is, but it has also made evident of the person I really am in the process of doing so. I have learned so much about myself that I never would have learned before this experience. There has been so much that I have been exposed to in my early stages of learning about engineering that has set such a strong course for the rest of my career. I was surprised in learning about the writing side of this introductory to engineering class. I could have never known the usefulness of great writing skills in the world of engineering, but I am so glad that this class has opened my eyes to that fact.
