Automatic and/or Manual (Stick Shift)
Why are stick cars so popular? They are more difficult to drive and you must be skilled and advanced to drive them. Why not choose an automatic easy ride, which you can turn your driving in to comfort, especially when driving in heavy traffic in Dallas? If this is what you think, you must read this essay before you make up your mind to either drive a stick shift or automatic transmission. The purpose of this essay is to contrast and compare stick shift transmission cars with automatic transmission cars. People who drive stick shift cars know the difference and the advantages of having total control of their car engine, while people who drive cars with automatic transmissions do not.
A car with a manual transmission, or stick shift, is cheaper than an automatic transmission, not only on the car lot but also in the long term. The difference is not extreme as some drivers believe it to be, especially with late model cars. Stick shifts are much cheaper to install than automatic. In the long term, driven by experienced drivers such as my grandfather, stick shift cars are also more fuel efficient, leading to substantial savings over the life of a car. When buying a new car, a stick shift will cost less, but not by much and often not enough for it to be a major factor in the decision of what type of transmission to purchase. For experienced drivers who understand how to drive a car for maximum efficiency, a stick will be significantly cheaper than an automatic, but the majority of drivers will find driving an automatic to be comparable to driving a stick, in terms of cost. Drivers who want high performance out of their vehicles will be as well served by high end automatic cars as they will be by stick shift cars. While it is possible for a driver to achieve greater control and fuel economy while driving a stick, that driver must be skilled and familiar with engine dynamics. Few drivers are, and in some cases, they actually drive so inefficiently that the car is less fuel efficient than an automatic version of the same car. Especially for younger drivers, like me, an automatic may be a safer and more efficient choice
Cars with automatic transmissions are a great way to drive around because they do not require much driving skills. People who don’t like to usually drive will choose an automatic transmission which is one of the main problems. People who drive with automatic transmissions often do not pay as much attention to the rode and other cars as they should. Cars with automatic transmissions have extremely improved through modern chips that have
