Many schools have talked about letting their cafeteria change the lunch menu to a healthier one for the students and staff to eat. Changing the schools lunch menu to a healthier one is a good idea, because students can eat a healthy meal before the end of the day, keep their bodies healthy and in good shape, and more students will purchase the lunch that is served. First students are rushing around trying to get to where they need to be on time. Some students have practice, games, homework, or even a job to attend right after school and do not have time to eat before so they will have to wait until later that night. You can drop someone, pass out, or even get sick and have to leave and not be able to practice or play in a game for a while. Second thing is keeping your body healthy and in shape is very important for students that are physically active. Have you ever wondered why your doctor tells you that your not in good shape for your age? It's because your not eating healthy like you need to be. Your body has to have so much energy to keep you going throughout the day. With that said having a healthier lunch will give you more protein and strength to keep your body in good alignment. Eating fruit and vegetables more will give your body energy and let you do things you want to do with no problems. Third reasoning is more students will purchase the food in the cafeteria instead of buying food from somewhere else. Some students bring in their own lunch because they do not like what the school is serving or they are allergic to the food served. Now they will be able to save some money and eat healthier lunches and not have to worry about if they have food to bring with them to school or worrying about if they have the money to order food from somewhere else. Having your school cafeteria change the lunch menu to a healthier one is good for these reasons
