The leader I chose was Clara Barton. She was a nurse who founded The American Red Cross. She was born in Oxford, Massachusetts on December 25, 1821. Clara gained an education through her older siblings and also through local schools. She had a occupation of nursing and humanitarian.

Clara Barton became a teacher at fifteen years old. She was also almost killed by a bullet, but instead it killed the soldier she was helping.
