I believe that both parties can be equally qualified as responsible for the results of the Cold War. All throughout the 1990s, what the Cold War brought was agitation from east to west politically and militarily. Eventhough the Soviet Union and America did fight side by side during WWII, their association wasnt always the finest. The Soviet Union started its mergence for control over the eastern alliance of countries following the war by building up communist governments. This maneuver made many Americans’ believe that their plan was to take over and control the world. As a direct result of this though, the United States put into action the Truman Doctrine.
