Did you know a lot of people don’t know what color guard is? In 1861, Color Guard first began during the English reign around the same time as the Civil War. A sport is any activity involving physical exertion and skill as the primary focus of the activity, with elements of competition or social participation where rules and patterns of behavior governing the activity exist formally through organizations and are generally recognized as a sport. 3 reasons why the color guard is a sport is that during the winter season, they compete, along with lots of physical activity throughout the year, and they have to work together to have great performances; however, some say that there isn’t enough physical activity.
