Over 200 years ago, The 13 Colonies just got done fighting for their independence. The Colonists fought the British and overcame their challenges. A couple years later, The founding Fathers created the Articles of Confederation. Many people thought The Articles of Confederation had been too weak because some states had too much, or too little power.The Founding Fathers decided to separate the government into 3 branches. The Three Branches are The Judicial, The executive, and The Executive. The Executive Branch for example, is one of the three branches of government. The President is the head of the Executive Branch. When a law is trying to be passed, the President can sign it or veto it. The president also gets to elect its own Vice President.
