Settling back into the comfort of his arms, Harper felt like she was at home. It was one thing to bathe on her own. Set a nice hot bath, bath salts, bath soap, etc. All the bells and whistles of making and creating the perfect ambiance for a most heavenly bath experience. It was a completely different thing of being in the arms of a strapping and strong man. He could wrap his arms around her, he was certainly far more comfortable than the back of the tub and every touch made shivers run up her spine.

It took her some time to even realize what was happening or what was he was saying. She was clearly and so truly in a different world. You would think that after several moments, she’d be fine. She’d probably recuperate. What happened though wasn’t anything normal, it was completely extraordinary. It would take a good night’s sleep for her to fully recuperate and be back to some sense of coherency.

Sure, Harper knew better than to think there was anything worth falling in love with Hawthorne over. Right now, she was so lost in the moment, simply enjoying the closeness, it didn’t matter.
