One of the most significant changes that has occurred regarding bullying, is the impact of technology. With the amount of available technology continuously increasing, so are the means of which to bully. Technology is the cause for one of the most common forms of bullying, cyberbullying. Cyberbullying, unlike “traditional bullying” takes place online using social media sites and apps, such as; Facebook, Twitter, Chat rooms, Instant messaging, Snapchat, Instagram, Tumblr,, and YouTube. In fact, according to statics, Australia is the Facebook bullying capital of the world (Killalea, 2012), and is ranked fifth globally for cyberbullying overall (Killalea, 2012).
