Dealing With Dragons In the novel, Dealing With Dragons, by Patricia C. Wrede, the main character Cimorene is a princess that doesn’t really act like a proper princess for so many reasons. Cimorene breaks all the rules and instead of marrying a prince like she was supposed to, instead she ran off to be a dragon’s princess. Cimorene was living with the dragons for a while and if a knight of the prince that she had to marry came to the dragon’s cave where the dragons lived, Cimorene would just scare them off or outsmart them. Cimorene did a lot of things weren’t right and did not act at all like a casual princess and she never listened at her home. However she did listen to the dragons when they told her to do something. Cimorene acts differently in many ways compared to a casual princess. Cimorene is a princess, but she does not act like proper princess.

Cimorene is making all of her choices for a reason and in a clever way. Cimorene is smarter than most of the people around her and she can also outsmart people too. Like prince Therandil. Cimorene also has some trouble with a couple of dragons and some wizards, but in the end she finished what she started. Cimorene might’ve not acted like a princess, but all in all Cimorene adventurous journey. Cimorene also had wondered about what this crystal was about and Kazul told her how it works and who it belongs too. “The crystal belongs to the king and the crystal shows things that are happening in other times and places.”p.58.
