Dia de los muertos is when all the Mexicans come together to celebrate and honor the ones that have departed. It is celebrated on November 1 and people are able to make a altar for their loved ones they have lost. They pray for the loved ones they have lost and hoped they are in a better place. They go to and put flowers or food on their graves and put pictures of them and their loved one. They also make sugar skulls for their loved ones and they put their names on top of the sugar skulls. They do parades and face paint their face like skulls, they believe that the spirits provide protection and good luck. Most people build altars before dia de los muertos (day of the dead) and the favorite drink, snack, food of their loved ones. People
