Donald Trump went from business to politics in 15 years. Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946. He grew up in Queens, NY and grew up kind of bad. His parents sent him off to New York Military Academy when he was only 13 years old. When he grew up and was old enough to go to college he went to Fordham University in New York for a couple years. After a while there he dropped out and went to Wharton School of Finance in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Wharton in 1968 at the age of 22. Before he graduated from college he worked with his dad in the summer in real estate, but once he graduated college he got a full time job with his dad at Elizabeth Trump & Son. The Pennsylvania Central Railroad filed for bankruptcy and he was going to buy the land and build a building on it as long as they would name it after his family’s name but they declined it. So he waited in the shadows waiting for his time to shine and a hotel was going out of business so he bought it redone it and it is now known as the Grand Hyatt. After he redone this building people knew that he was going to be the best one day. He got a lot of publicity for one of the major towers he did named Trump Tower. It is a 58 story apartment building. A lot of celebrities own an apartment in the tower and they are really expensive so if you are rich then that is the place to be. He also has some hotels and casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He bought and redone the largest hotel and casino in the world named the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal opened in 1990 and it is still a major hit today. Donald was spending all kinds of money on rebuilding buildings, casinos, and golf courses. He was thinking he was on top of the world till the market dropped and reality smacked him in the face. His company was starting to go bankrupt, but luckily he didn’t go bankrupt. Donald Trump after that went out and bought the Hotel Plaza near the well-known Central Park. He has been fight a lot with Jeb Bush about 9/11. Donald has been talking bad about Jeb’s brother George W. Bush. Donald said that George lied when he said we were safe after the attacks on the Twin Towers and Pentagon. Also Donald Trump has been calling Jeb’s brother a liar which makes Jeb mad, but Donald has also been making fun of all the poll numbers that Jeb has dropped over time on the 2016 campaign trail. They got Donald on one question they asked him. They asked him what he would do in that situation he said “It would have been much different.” He said this because he would have tougher border control then Bush had and those people would have never got in our beautiful country to do any evil stuff like that. Donald is doing real well in the polls with a lead over Ben Carson by 10% with a 31% votes from men and 23% from women. Ben Carson though is tied with Donald in the woman category. Still no matter what poll that is done president wise Donald is leading it by a lot over all the other candidates. They even asked the people who don’t care and are not going to vote who they would vote for and most of them even said Donald Trump. He also touched on the Middle East a little over time on the campaign trail. He said that going in to Iraq was the biggest mistake the United States has made.
