The Olympic Games is a series of events including; track, field, water sports, and gymnastic (Olympic, 2016). Originally began in Ancient Greece where only men were able to participate in the few events they had. 1896 when the first modernised Olympics took place in Athens, there were 43 events, with 280 athletes from 13 different countries. According to The History Channel (N/D) the largest ever Olympic Games was in 2004, in Athens where the old and the new were to combine. There were 11000 athletes from 201 different countries.
