The electoral college is something big in the United States. The electoral college should be abolished because it doesn't make things fair in the presidential election. According to document A california and texas have the most electoral votes. The bigger states have to get a big percentage than the smaller states. In order to win you have to get 270 electoral votes. The smaller states win the electoral vote with 55 votes. The amount of small states are 3 to 12 electoral votes in almost each state. The ones that have more electoral votes than popular votes wins. In my opinion the electoral college should be abolished because it isn’t fair for those who don’t win the electoral vote but win the popular vote. A perfect example would be Hillary Clinton, she lost in the election because of the electoral vote which isn't fair since she won the popular vote. Behind him was Jimmy Carter with 41% on the popular vote and lost with 9% on the electoral vote. This an example of why the electoral college should be abolished because Ronald Reagan won since he had a higher percentage on the electoral vote , Jimmy Carter had a higher percentage on the popular vote , and I think that they shouldve made it fair and re-counted the votes or made them re vote again.
